This SIGGRAPH 2022 Birds of a Feather session is for attendees interested in using Vulkan as a cross-platform, industry standard. Vulkan enables developers to target, with the same graphics API, a heterogeneous ecosystem.
However, being cross-platform is not enough from a Vulkan developer’s perspective. The application will only target a domain of relevance to the Vulkan ecosystem, a domain that can be formalized with a Vulkan Profile, a way to express Vulkan capabilities requirements.
In this presentation, we will discuss the tools shipping with the Vulkan SDK to simplify Vulkan application development thanks to Vulkan Profiles.
