This week LunarG released an update to Vulkan SDKs for Windows, Linux, and macOS based on the 1.1.92.0 header. Today we announced a new 1.1.92.1 release that fixes a critical loader bug found in the 1.1.92.0 release. Read on for an overview of new additions to the release and links to the release notes and the SDKs.

If you’ve installed 1.1.92.0, you must update to the 1.1.92.1 version.

This SDK fixes a critical loader bug found in the 1.1.92.0 version of the SDK.

Overview of additions to 1.1.92.0 (and 1.1.92.1):

  1. vkconfig, a new Vulkan configuration tool — a graphical application that provides an easy interface for specifying and configuring layers
  2. Native Linux packages for Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. For instructions on how to access and install these packages, navigate to the SDK page on LunarXchange and select the “Ubuntu Packages” tab in the Linux section
  3. New extensions
    VK_EXT_calibrated_timestamps
    VK_EXT_image_drm_format_modifier
    VK_EXT_pci_bus_info
    VK_EXT_transform_feedback
    VK_GOOGLE_decorate_string
    VK_AMD_memory_overallocation_behavior
